Service Description
A chance to spend all day on the yard 08.00 - 6 pm gaining practical skill and knowledge, assisting with ponies, grooming and tacking up and helping out on the yard, leading ponies in the arena. The Saddle Club hours for the holidays are extended to help parents with logistics of child drop off at the yard and getting to work. A later start and earlier pick up is possible but please advise re altered timings when these are needed. Children age 10+ can attend Saddle Club. We recommend that children age 10-11yrs just to half days but parents may decide if their child has the stamina to enjoy a full day. Don't forget to send them with a pack up lunch and snack to keep energy levels up.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy: unless 72 hours notice of cancellation is given the full lesson fee is payable. This mirrors general business practice and allows us to manage and plan staff time. The only accepted method of cancellation is via the notification form on the yellow pop up notice that comes up after clicking the book online tab. We charge a £3 admin fee for all booking cancellations. However, it is free to move your lesson as long as you move your lesson within the time frame of our cancellation policy. Please note: when cancelling a lesson / hack, it may take up to 14 days to process your refund. There are occasions when the allocated instructor has to be changed at short notice in response to emergencies or difficulties the instructor is facing. In those situations we do our best to find a replacement to avoid cancellation of the lesson and when we do it is not our policy to notify the client of the change of instructor. If the client chooses not to proceed with the lesson it is treated as a short notice cancellation and the lesson will not be rescheduled or refunded. The yard horse weight limits are based on measured dressed ready to ride. For riders the weight limit is 12st 7lb (79kg) If a lesson is booked and the declared weight does not match the weight measured at the yard and the weight carrying capacity of the allocated horse, then the lesson cannot proceed and the lesson fee is forfeit. Deer control and venison - we love seeing the wild deer at Bulby who keep the fields in good heart and the ragwort at bay and happily help themselves to the ring feeder haylage and the salt licks so they are in fine fettle. To control numbers we have started to harvest some and so we have venison for sale. It is butchered locally so low food miles (16), it is grass and hedgerow grown, lean and what fats there are are the good ones. We do not use sprays on the land and this is true field to fork food.
