Some of the
ponies are staying, we are sorry to say goodbye to the leavers but
hope that we will be able to find some nice replacements including working
liveries especially for the larger horses.

Buster is staying
He is a real fun pony.
He schools, jumps and hacks. He was a real star when some
of the clients took him to a show, jumping lots of clear rounds
and doing very well in the gymkhana games.
Buster is staying around
but is returning to private use at Bulby. He has been a fabulous
pony at the school and now needs to get out and about with his owner
at Pony Club Activities and events.
He may help on some of
the pony days....he just loves the fuss and the hacks and will take
part in the Grimsthorpe sponsored ride next year. |
 |
Hewy is staying
He is an adorable pony
who loves his gymkhana games. He is wonderful on or off the
lead rein.
He is staying at the yard
and we are going to try to get him out and about going to competitions. |
 |
Crispin is staying.
Crispin is a Queensdale
pony and is very elegant. He loves to school and is very obediant
to walk, trot and canter.
He needs to get out and about to broaden his experience and we plan
to take him out to Laughton Manor on Fridays and to other events to
continue his education. |
 |
Emma is staying.
Emma is a really nice
middleweight cob. She is wonderful to take out on hacks.
Emma likes to pop a little jump. She is a really safe little
mare without being 'boring'. Recently Emma went out Show Jumping
with one of our clients and she had a lovely time!

Penny will return.
Much to the delight of
many at the riding school Penny will return.
After winning the Chase
me Charlie jumping competition suprisingly beating the magnificent
Daisy there was concern that she might have arthritis and would
be too old to breed from. The great news is that she came
straight into season at stud but it was decided to wait until Spring
to put her in foal so she returned to activity taking her intrepid
rider to the opening meet of the Quorn and hunting for four hours.
He was glad he followed advice to use her recommended hunting bit! The
next day she delighted her jockey taking him over 4' at the Pony
Club rally. She rode out both days without any need for medication. What
a relief! We hope she may come back to the riding school for
the remainder of the winter then return to stud in Spring. |
 |
Wizz may return
Wizz started life as a
show pony and was shocked when left to his and his rider's own devices
at first. He came on beautifully , and needs bringing on further.
He leads well with the occasional kiss on the nose and loved his
trip to the seaside, overcoming his fear of water to let the waves
wash over his hooves. We hope with attention from more experienced
riders he will come 'good'. He is such a handsome dun and has a
sweet nature when his leader is relaxed....we shall see! |
 |
Jasper is doing
fine!
Jasper is a lively pony
who loves jumping and has gone out on loan. He is looking
fab and came out for the first meet of the Cottesmore. He
is training to do pony club games so we shall check out his progress
and report back, hoping that he makes the pony club team. |
 |
Molly may return
Molly is a wonderful safe
mare who is very easy to lead and useful for beginners. When
she first came to the yard she was wonderfully light off the leg
and if she returns we hope to get the balance right for her.
She is currently on 'holiday' at stud but may come back for the
remainder of the winter before being put in foal for the Spring.
She has such a lovely nature and remains calm in the most suprising
situations. Now that she has had a break hacking out in the
countryside we hope that she will be refreshed. |
 |
Flash is a very handsome boy, he is a real fun
pony both on or off the lead rein. We hope he might be staying but
have not heard any news. |
 |
Whymsical Lyric.
Lyric is on working livery
here with us. She competes and has points at British Dressage.
Lyric loves to school and is one for those who are really serious
about their schooling. We hope Lyric may be staying but we have
not heard any news. |

Moonshine
Silas Good bye and good luck
Silas is a real favourite
in the riding school. He is an advanced dressage pony and
in his day competed at International level. He loves his work
and is excellent for those who wish to learn dressage from a real
schoolmaster. Silas also adores his jumping.
Sadly Silas is going but
we hope that we will find another schoolmaster to take his place.
He has been an amazing pony to have at the yard and will be missed. |

Daisy is now in foal and
is leaving with owner Louise as she starts a new venture close to
her own home. |
Daisy Good bye
and good luck.
Daisy is a 'jack of all
trades'. Whatever you want to learn, she has been there.
She has competed in British Dressage up to Elementary. She
qualified and competed at the British Dressage winter finals at
Solihul and the British Dressage Eastern Regional finals.
She has competed at British
Eventing at Pre-Novice (her short legs prevented her going up to
Novice level!)
She has successfully shown
in working hunter classes and coloured horse classes.
Daisy loves her hunting and
hacking out. She is one for those who want to further their
jumping ability or have a good fun hack.

 |
William.
Good bye and good luck
William is an adorable
pony. He does all pony club activities and loves his hunting.
He is wonderful for smaller children (although the older children
do love to do the gymkhana games on him!) He is perfect on
or off the lead rein. |
 |
Moonshine Keswick.
Good bye and good luck
Keswick has competed
at Elementary Dressage Level and qualified and competed at the British
Dressage Eastern Regional finals in his day. He is now
here to teach you the finer points of dressage. Keswick is
a very elegant horse, ideal for the taller rider. Keswick
has been known to jump and enjoys his hacking. |
 |
Murphy.Good bye
and good luck.
Murphy is a very grand
horse, he is a shire cross. Murphy is a well schooled chap
who loves to be in the school. He has a lovely jump in him and is
quiet to hack out. He is also brilliant on the lead rein. Murphy
is not owned by the yard and sadly he will be leaving the yard. |
| To all those horses which were not used in
the riding school we say.... |
Good bye and good luck |
 |
Mr Sago.Good bye
and good luck
Sage has competed at British
Eventing up to Intermediate level in his day. More recently
he competes at British Dressage up to Elementary. Sage has
qualified for the British Dressage winter finals at Solihul and
has competed at British Dressage Eastern Regionals.
He is a tall slender chap who has an awful lot to give to those who
are really commited to developing their dressage and jumping skills
|

Toryn.
Good bye and good luck
Toryn was broken by us in the summer and has proved to be a real
gent. He was the escort hack when we took some clients on
the Grimsthorpe sponsored ride and also enjoyed a morning out cubbing
with the Cottesmore. He will enjoy a competitive career
and will then join the other competition horses in the school for
all to enjoy and learn from.
|
 |
Monkey.Good bye
and good luck.
Monkey is a New Forest
x 14.2hh pony. He has recently been broken by Louise and is now
being succesfully ridden away. Look out for him for the future,
he is going to be a star!
|
 |
Queensdale Red
Pennant. Good bye and good luck.
Red has already won 3rd
place in a Youngstock class as a yearling. He is going to be shown
by Louise and when ready he will come into the riding school.
|
| |
Queensdale Alfredo.
Good bye and good luck.
Alfie is a stunning pony.
He is just about to start his showing career with Louise and he
is sure to win a few titles in his life! Watch this space to see
his progress.
|
 |
Ody. Goodbye
and good luck.
Ody is a real chracter
and can't wait to start his riding career as soon as he is old enough.
He will be broken in by Louise.
|
 |
Sam Goodbye and good luck.
Sam was rescued by Louise and Paul, he is now a picture of health
and being taught and handled ready to start a little showing next
year.
